What This Site Is

DMV Camera Watch ("the Service") provides information about automated traffic enforcement cameras in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia metro area. All camera locations, violation counts, and revenue estimates are derived from publicly available government data sources. We are an independent project and are not affiliated with any government agency.

Revenue Estimates Are Estimates

Revenue and violation figures displayed on this site are estimates calculated from publicly available datasets. They are based on reported violation counts multiplied by standard fine amounts for each jurisdiction. Actual revenue may vary due to dismissed tickets, reduced fines, unpaid violations, administrative costs, and data reporting delays. Do not cite these numbers as official government figures. They are our best approximations based on the data available to us.

Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice. If you've received a traffic citation, consult a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction. Links to legal services on this site are affiliate referrals, not endorsements of specific attorneys or legal outcomes.

Data Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to keep camera locations and data current, but we cannot guarantee completeness or accuracy. Cameras may be added, removed, or relocated by jurisdictions at any time. Speed limits and enforcement zones may change. Always obey posted signs and local traffic laws.

Pro Subscriptions

DMV Camera Watch Pro is a paid subscription service at $4.99/month, billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

Intellectual Property

The underlying camera data is public government information. Our editorial commentary, design, code, and the "Snappy" mascot character are © DMV Camera Watch. You may share links to camera pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not reproduce the site's design, copy, or functionality.

Limitation of Liability

DMV Camera Watch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site, reliance on data presented here, or decisions made based on our content. The maximum liability for any claim related to the service is the amount you've paid us in the prior 12 months (for most users: $0).

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll update the date at the top of this page when terms change.
